Why work with me?

Our founder, Lucy Edwards, has come through trauma, bereavement and abuse to serve others within the NHS, Fire Services, Police and IDAS. Led by a fully-qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, Imago Therapist and a registered member of the BACP; our approach is founded in therapeutic theory. With Cherry Orchard Counselling, you’ll access effective communication and reflection techniques while always feeling welcomed, included and accepted. There’s nothing one could say that would shock or is off-limits for discussion during the sessions. The whole of who you are is welcomed and encouraged.

How we work

We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all. You’ll receive a bespoke counselling plan in 3 easy steps and it all starts with one little conversation.

  1. Scoping chat – We’ll first determine if we’re a good fit for your needs in a quick FREE consultation.
  2. Setup session – During the first session, we’ll discuss your goals and introduce the techniques we’ll be using.
  3. Regular sessions – As we get stuck into the work, we’ll create a regular plan of therapy sessions to suit your goals.
